What are joint mobilisations?

There are a different mobilisation techniques available to achieve pain-free movement of an injured body part. The amount of pressure applied to the joint varies depending on pain or stiffness being your main symptom. The techniques can range from small, gentle, pain-free mobilisations through to higher graded techniques. Joints can be mobilised with movement to help teach the surrounding muscles, nerves and other soft tissue the correct pattern of movement.
Your assessment will allow me to identify which techniques will achieve the best outcome. A combination of different mobilisations can be used to treat your injury.
